5-Minute Mystery is a high-intensity, deductive, mystery game in which players work together to find a culprit hidden in a line-up of suspects. Just moments before the Museum of Everything was set to unveil its newest exhibit, the priceless MacGuffin, some criminal snuck in and stole it! Now its up to you, a team of detectives, to crack the case, find the culprit, and recover the missing MacGuffin. Start by searching for hidden symbols in each room of the museum and find the matching symbols on the codex. Once youve found all of the symbols in the room, you’ll unlock a clue about the culprit. Match the barcode of the clue tile against the culprit tile to discover valuable information about the crook. Does the miscreant have an umbrella? No? Well, that eliminates the shifty Mr. Braxton, doesn’t it? Quickly sort through the suspect cards in your hand to narrow down who the criminal can be. You’ll have to make it through as many rooms as it takes to figure out exactly who is responsible for stealing the MacGuffin, but remember, time is not on your side! Case files change the rules to each time you play, making every game a new challenge. Do you have what it takes to be the detective to crack the case and solve this five-minute mystery? Only time will tell!

Whodunnit?

The precious MacGuffin has been stolen from the Museum of Everything, and its up to you and your team of detectives to solve the case and catch the culprit! Start by scouring the Museum for clues. All players work together to search through rooms of the museum and find the five hidden symbols on each card. As a team, describe each symbol to the player with the codex who will align it to match the symbols on the card.

Follow the Clues!

If all the symbols match, youve uncovered a clue! Flip over a clue and use the barcodes to match it against the culprit tile to find out valuable information about the crook.

Narrow Down Suspects

Based on what youve learned from the clue, eliminate suspects that dont match the culprit tile. Keep gathering clues by searching through more scenes until youve only got one suspect left.

Catch the Culprit

Once youve narrowed it down to one suspect, its time to make an arrest! Accuse a suspect and flip over the culprit tile to see if youre right. If the suspect and culprit match, youve caught the culprit and cracked the case!

I can't go back to the original game

After playing this version of Dune Imperium, I can't go back to playing the original base game. This game improves the original in so many ways; the deck building feels more important and creating synergies between different cards seem more achievable.

However, if you've never played Dune Imperium before, there could be a greater learning curve for new players, as there's a few more things to keep track of and remember rules for, etc.

But if you're looking for Dune Imperium but with more oomph, this is the game for you.

Horrifying game night

Played this with a bunch of friends, and we spent most of the game thinking that one of us had been a good guy, but turned out that he had been one of the bad guys all along! By the time we had figured it out, it was too late.

The minis are also really great, I had a lot of fun painting them
