Description

Hanabi—named for the Japanese word for "fireworks"—is a cooperative game in which players try to create the perfect fireworks show by placing the cards on the table in the right order. (In Japanese, hanabi is written as ??; these are the ideograms flower and fire, respectively.) The card deck consists of five different colors of cards, numbered 1–5 in each color. For each color, the players try to place a row in the correct order from 1–5. Sounds easy, right? Well, not quite, as in this game you hold your cards so that theyre visible only to other players. To assist other players in playing a card, you must give them hints regarding the numbers or the colors of their cards. Players must act as a team to avoid errors and to finish the fireworks display before they run out of cards. An extra suit of cards, rainbow colored, is also provided for advanced or variant play.

Great service and communication

I can't go back to the original game

After playing this version of Dune Imperium, I can't go back to playing the original base game. This game improves the original in so many ways; the deck building feels more important and creating synergies between different cards seem more achievable.

However, if you've never played Dune Imperium before, there could be a greater learning curve for new players, as there's a few more things to keep track of and remember rules for, etc.

But if you're looking for Dune Imperium but with more oomph, this is the game for you.

Horrifying game night

Played this with a bunch of friends, and we spent most of the game thinking that one of us had been a good guy, but turned out that he had been one of the bad guys all along! By the time we had figured it out, it was too late.

The minis are also really great, I had a lot of fun painting them
